Guilty Gear 2 news

Fans of the Guilty Gear series may be used to the rough ride Arc Systemworks asks of them, what with the confusing sequel/spin-off numbering scheme and that whole Bridget gender confusion issue. But word from the new issue of Famitsu reveals that fans will be asked to endure the rough Guilty Gear seas once again as the series sees a major shift. It's moving from high-res 2D sprites to 3D. And that's not all.

According to 1UP's recount of the Famitsu story, Guilty Gear 2 Overture will employ real-time stra
tegy gameplay, interspersed with 3D head to head fighting. An odd choice, yes, but we'll have to see it in action before we pass judgment.

The game is due to hit the Xbox 360 at an unspecified date. Frankly, I can't wait to see how they pull this one off.
IMO if the Guilty Gear series would jump from 2D to 3D that would suck, everybody loves the fast paced 2D action that we get from the guilty gear series right?
